I've spent the past 20 years chasing light and making images that bring a brand to life, capturing the energy of a subject and sharing that experience with the world. I take the work seriously. Myself, not so much.
I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where I fell in love with photography in high school, shooting on film and spending countless afternoons in the darkroom. I studied film and photography at the University of Arizona, earned a degree in Media Arts, and started my professional career as a staff photographer for Pacific Magazine.
In 2007, a cold email to the Coachella Music & Arts Festival changed everything. That first weekend led to a spot on their in-house media team, which led to similar roles at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Burning Man, and a dozen others. I developed a style built around scale, energy, and real human moments, with images ending up in ad campaigns, documentary films, and coffee table books.
Alongside the event world, I built a commercial advertising practice working with brands like Campbell's, Hilton, Bartell Hotels, and Cohn Restaurant Group. A career highlight and honestly just a wild ride was five years as personal photographer to professional boxer Canelo Alvarez, embedded with his team through training camps, international press tours, and ten world championship bouts.
Recently I stepped away from photography work to take on a major production project. For the past three years I found myself managing the design, fabrication, and deployment of a large-scale art car for Burning Man, along with all the logistics and operations that came with it. It was way out of my wheelhouse, the most demanding thing I've ever done, terrifying at times, tons of fun, and genuinely one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Now I'm back behind the lens, and genuinely excited to be shooting again.
Currently available for new commercial projects in 2026. Reach out. I'm easy to talk to. Ask anyone.
